What castle(s) should I get?

    Hello everyone,

    Now that castle day is finally here, I needed some advice on what castles to get. My main focus is increasing my profit per shot and to be able to handle events solo if possible. I could use some help -- any advice will be much appreciated.

    Pearls to dispose: 3,125,000

    This is my current castle.

    I also have
    - Adamantine Hull lvl 8
    - Carpentry Expertise lvl 6
    - Harpoon Loader lvl 6
    - Iron Harpoons lvl 4

    Since my focus is on improving my profit per shot, I was thinking about getting the following. I am assuming they will help a lot if I use flare ammo. Please correct me if I am wrong.
    -Wildfire lvl6
    -Poisoner's lab lvl 6.

    Also for soloing events
    -Maintenance Crew lvl 6

    I have 34 skills total. Let me know if my pearls will be better invested there.

    I am asking so that I don't waste pearls that took some time to amass. I'd appreciate any feedback.

    Hmmm so make sure you have 6/6 skills on Explosive Alchemy Ogun's Wrath and Agwe's Armor;As for castles there are some events where npcs has high dodge hence Astrolabe is useful in such events but you should really get Gunpowder Flask maxed first and same with Carpentry Expertise fast repairs go a long way i recomend also going for crew deck castle with description Elite ammunition Bonus (Forgot name lol) that also increases damage.Wildfire and Poisoners Lab are good but on events without DoT ammo wont help you at all where as this castles will at any time.

    also put admantine hull your ship will bee protected from npc and players

    This is good advice - I agree that Elite dmg should be the next unlocked module - it's way more important than wildfire! My priority would be: Elite dmg>wildfire>crew deck repair>crew deck crit dmg>gun deck DOT boost
    I would however spend your pearls unlocking topcastle and Forecastle slots. Permanently switching setups does not work! You really need 3 slots unlocked especially since you allready bought the modules.

    In sum I would prioritize as follows: unlock topcastle slot>unlock forecastle slot>Elite dmg boost>upgrade topcastle slots and modules

    And yes. Explosive Alchemy, Ogun's Wrath and Agwe's Armor are icredibly important and cheap to get. Since your castles are quite good I expect that you allready have these skills, but their importance simply can't be overemphasized. They are really an unbalanced feature of the game. In fact it does not make economic sense to buy any castle feature before purchasing skill points for Explosive Alchemy (6/6) and Ogun's Wrath (6/6).

    I agree with what everyone has said in the above threads but ultimately it's you and what you want to do with your ship. Over the past years this same question is asked and answered, but keep in mind, once you decide on which castle to get you cannot undo them as you can with skills.
    The first two castles anyone should get is Cannon Reloader and Gunpowder flask. These two critical castles are what I recommend to every new player and someone such as yourself. The following castles not in any order are important Carpentry, Astrolab, Reinforced Hull and Adamantine, Centerboard, Sternpost, Cannon storage, Maintenance crew, Cleansing team, Shipwrights schematics, Poisoners Lab and the last two which are practically useless without the other, Rocketmaster and Wildfire.
    Now, I know most will say there is nothing in critical hits but that is a personal preference if you like stats. I didn't mention any castle in the Voodoo area either, because those are individual preference as well.
    Those castles I did mention are most of the castles to get a boat going and keep it on the water for awhile until you can dial in your castle preferences to coincide with any skills you have. You mentioned harpoons, keep in mind with what I said in the last sentence, if you no skills in harpoons don't spend pearls in castles for a few meager points.
    It go's without saying upgrade those castles especially during castle days but upgrade them to max ASAP.
