    I just fought a player using scrap ammo, and I had one volley that hit him for zero. How is that possible? (He had 103% dodge, but that shouldn't be the reason).

    Ahoy The*Defiant!

    The answer to your question is quite simple:

    Option 1. You hit him with Elmos Fire / Chilling Touch which displayed as 0
    Option 2. Your opponent activated Captain Manouver - Shields up!
    Option 3. Your opponent had massive Dodge Chance, but the set up on your end had very little Hit Probability (this include many factors on your end: gems, cannons, pet gems, buffs and more)    ​

    Shields Up! provide player with 3 magical shields that cause your opponents (players, NPCs, towers) to hit 0 damage. After 3 hits such manouver is deactivated and your damage apply normally.
