If I have say - five Level-5 One-Eyed Ravens, does it benefit me to use all five of them more than if I just use one? (I'm pretty confident the answer is "Yes"; but with all of the periodic changes that go with the game, I wanted to verify this is correct). Thank you for your time and help.:)

    Ahoy The*Defiant!

Having 1 or 5 One Eyed Ravens wont make a difference - as long as you keep only these on board.

Thank you - but may I ask two additional questions based on your reply?

    1. Why then does the below show 67 Storm Lanterns being needed to achieve maximum Critical Damage?

and 2. I tried this just now with two scenarios (same precise setup). The first has only one Level-4 One Eyed Raven. The second has two Level-4 One-Eyed Ravens and nineteen Level-3 One-Eyed Ravens. As shown, the second scenario dropped my Damage Prevention by 5% but raised my Dodge Chance by 7% versus having just one Level-4 ONR on deck. So adding more changed those parameters, which would seem logical to me if the 67 Storm Lanterns make a lot more difference then just one Storm Lantern. But that seems to contradict what you said. So I don't understand this. Could you clarify? Thanks Rymar!

    Ahoy!

Each and every expansion have two sets of values:

Absolute values are when extensions that contains the same type of value are added together to give you a total.

Relative values are calculated to at an average, meaning if a value is lower or not included on another equipped extension, the maximum value will be less. The value that is displayed in the overview shows the optimum value. This is the one that can be reached if you are either equipping only one extension, or extensions of the same type.

If you look up here (
Ship Extensions) you can see that Lanterns Critical Damage is an absolute value, therefore it is adding one onto another (1+1=2 etc.)

Please visit the thread mentioned above to review which value is absolute or relative for each and every expansion.

Excellent! I was fully aware and understood the definitions of "Absolute" versus "Relative" values. That said, I did *not* know that an extension could have both characteristics contained within it. Many thanks, mate!:) (You may close this thread).
