(1) I just got the Special Gem (Etralai) that gives a player one extra spot for an AE crystal. How does one get an extra crystal?

(2) How do we get the Hawkins Majorus and Hawkins Minorus items?

(3) When tinkering with sub launchers, my understanding is you have to do it 20 times minimum. Is that correct? And is there a value to doing it more than 20 times? Lastly, once a player tinkers with it 20 times or more, can they ever go back to it and tinker with it again to try for better results?

1. Atlantean Engine Crystals (AEC) - these crystals allow you to activate each of your Submarine Actions (Stealth, Decoy, Sonar, Exploit Breaches).

AEC are recharged over time - you don't need to do anything - and can be found right below the submarine actions mentioned above.

2. Hawkins Majorus and Hawkins Minorus used to be available via voucher code and some payment packages - for now these items cannot be purchased.

3. The "20" tinkering is required to Upgrade your launcher, however you could put even 200 tinkering on one of your launchers and upgrade it in the future - once you gain specific recipe.

Each launcher have two bonuses, Primary and Secondary.

Primary bonus can be increased only by leveling up your launcher (by use of recipe), Secondary bonus in increased by the amount of tinkering done on each launcher.

Please be aware that each launcher have 3 stages of tinkering where different tools are required (in order to increase the value).

Point your mouse over your launcher and look at the Secondary Bonuses - on the right side you will see bars with three letters C (Common), U (Uncommon) R (Rare).

Thank you. I appreciate the detailed explanation. One more question - what is the benefit of the Special Gem I won? It gives me space for another AEC. How do I get another AEC to put in the slot, and do I need an extra one?

This special gem provide you with additional AEC - allowing you to use any special ability faster.

If we meet in pvp you could use decoy 1 more time than I could due to you owning 1 more AEC.

You don't need to put anything anywhere, once your pet gem is activated (set on your pet) your additional AEC should appear.
