    Submarine Launchers and Tinkering

How do you fire your Torpedoes? With Torpedo Launchers of course!

    We have four types of Launchers available for you;
Mako (Damage), Amarax (Reload), Mombu (Critical Chance) and Zorax (Damage, Reload, Critical Chance).

As you might have guessed, each one of these Launchers is designed for a different task.

Fret not though, although their primary attribute is what they are best at, you can tinker with your Launchers to gain some secondary attributes and improve their worth.

    Tinkering

All Launchers start at Level 0 with no Secondary Attributes. In order to increase the values of these, you need to Tinker with your Launchers in the Crafting Window.

Tinkering is the act of using some Crafting Tools to make some adjustments to your Secondary Attributes. Each time you tinker, you will improve two Secondary Attributes, however, with every positive comes a negative, so one of your Secondary Attributes will be decreased.

As an example, I may Tinker with my Mako Launcher and improve its Torpedo Reload and Torpedo Hit Chance, but my Elite Points got a little worse.

We all want the most effective Launchers, but your Common Tools won’t be able to improve your Secondary Attribute past a certain point.

Using Uncommon Tools will then allow you to increase your attributes even more until Rare Tools are required. Common Tools can be found from some NPCs within Atlantis.

Levelling up your Launcher will increase the Minimum Limit (the value the Attributes cannot go below), the Common Limit, Uncommon Limit, and the Maximum Limit (the highest value the Attributes can be increased too).

You may have some Secondary Attributes which have gone beyond the Common Limit, but some who are still below it.

In this scenario, the best Crafting Tool you have that is needed will be used.

Only attributes which are under the limit of the quality of Crafting Tool you have will be increased, however, all attributes can still have a chance to be decreased.

If you only have a quality of Crafting Tool greater than the limit all of your attributes are within, then the good tool will still be used.

    3.5%
    Torpedo Hit Chance
    2%
    Torpedo Critical Damage

Levelling up your Launcher will increase the Maximum Tinker Limit by 20% per Level, so for example a Level 1 Launcher would have a maximum 120% increase for Torpedo Critical Damage.

    Upgrading a Launcher

In order to Upgrade a Launcher to the next Level, you need to have Tinkered with it at least 20 times per Level, and have the blueprint required for the next level Launcher.

Levelling up your Launcher not only increases all the limits of your Tinkering, but also improves the Primary Attribute value of your Launcher.
