Chinese New Year​

The event starts at 12 noon on 23rd January and ends at 12 noon on 3rd February.

All times are local server times.

The Chinese New Year event features following:

4 event ships (1 normal, 1 minion, 1 admiral and 1 elite admiral)
1 new Design: “Mighty Rodent”
Event chests
Shipwrecks
Vengeful Shipwrecks
Event black market (In the in-game shop)​

Base event

“Screaming Dragon”

can be found on maps 5 to 45.
they will spawn 15 “Lantern of Deaths” on its death (they de-spawn after 1 minute)​

“Scrap Rat”

spawns after a certain amount of Lantern of Deaths have been sunk.
There is a small chance that “Silver Rat” spawns after a “Scrap Rat” has been sunk.​

“Screaming Dragon”, “Scrap Rat” and “Silver Rat” must be shot with elite ammunition

“Lantern of Death” can be shot with all kind of ammunition.

Flare ammunition causes more damage against all event ships.


Rewards from the event ships

“Screaming Dragon”​

Depending on how much damage you've inflicted you are rewarded with EXP and Pearls.
The player who inflicts the most damage has a small chance to receive Dragonfires or the Lucky Dragon design (Fallback reward 15 x Dragonfire).
The player who boards “Screaming Dragon” is rewarded with Dragonfires or the Lucky Dragon design (Fall back reward 10 x Dragonfire).​

“Lantern of Deaths”​

The player who does the last shot is rewarded with 2 Crystals and with a small chance with Crowns.​

“Scrap Rat”​

Depending on how much damage you've inflicted you are rewarded with EXP and Pearls.
The players who inflict the most damage and do the last shot have a small chance to receive the Razorback, Golden Hound or Mighty Rodent (Fallback for the designs: 20 x Dragonfire level 2).
The player who boards “Scrap Rat” is rewarded with Dragonfires or the Lucky Dragon design (Fall back reward 10 x Dragonfire level 2).​

“Silver Rat”​

Depending on how much damage you've inflicted you are rewarded with EXP and Pearls.
All players who have at least inflicted 5% damage have a chance to receive the “Golden Hound” design, “Razorback” design, 20 x Dragonfire level 2 or Mighty Rodent.
The player who do the last shot has a chance to receive the “Golden Hound”, Razorback, Mighty Rodent designs or 20 x Dragonfire level 2.​

Quests

You can accept quests by speaking to Fang Weisheng (on the safe haven). There are 3 quests and 1 daily quest.

The daily quest is reset each day at 12 noon (local server time)

“Mighty Rodent”​

Dazzling Rhodolite - 24% Boarding Bonus
Brilliant Coral - 23% Critical Damage
Brilliant Sodalite - 15% Dodge
Dazzling Sapphire - 120,000 Voodoo Points​

Event Treasure Chests

In the event chests, you find many useful items, like Flare ammunition, Firestorm cannons level 1, Legba amulets, Triton’s benevolence, Dragonfires, Lionhearts and other action items. There’s also a small chance to get Mojos.

Shipwrecks

The shipwrecks must be shot with Harpoons. Items such as Firestorm cannons level 1, Flare Ammunition and Crystals can be obtained if you inflict the most damage.

Vengeful Shipwrecks

The shipwrecks must be shot with Harpoons. Crowns, Yulong Coins, Contact and Homing mines and Lost Love can be obtained if you inflict the most damage.

Black Market

Some items in the event black market (in-game) shop can be bought for Radiant souls

Event Keys

The Event Keys will be exchanged for normal chest keys.

The post event compensation will be Monday 3rd February at 12:15 (local server time).

Much has changed since we met last year, yet since the Fenghuang have once again rattled the Gudai cage, they have leashed the Screaming Dragons on us once more. Description:

Our enemies use the Lanterns they launch into the air as platforms their wizards can view out forces from. If we strike them down, then they will have no idea where our forces are and in what direction they will move. As it is by the night that one can move the greatest force with ease. Prove ot them we cannot be seen!​

We are honoured to enter the Year of the Rat and thus we should cast away the memories of the old year. Time is of the now, and decisions we make can effect the future and not the past. Therefore, the reasons the enemies appeared in the past and the reasons they return may seem the same, but I feel they truly differ!
