I made it (just today) by doing all of the daily quests and doing each group map 10 times per day (~100 ancients/day which I mostly got by shooting Progenys but some by buying in the shop). I also spent a couple of days teleporting to every Odin in my range. I had my doubts about making the million without increasing the trips to the group maps. I was spending way more than my usual amount of time in the game. It was starting to feel like a job.

I still haven't completed the event as focusing on event points meant not focusing on some of the other requirements (which I will achieve before the end of the event).

Same goes for me.Now they finally lower event points to 750.000 but I gave up because it wasent possible and is a full time job playing seafight. So therefor Im going to warm country and first now they lower it.Shame again on bp.

Thank you both very much for your comments. Yeah - after the last event, I decided I was probably not going to make myself jump through all of those hoops this time. (I didn't even log-in for a couple of days). It's just too much work for five level 4 thunderbolts, which will be obsolete before I even turn around to sneeze. But I thought I'd give it a final shot and ask, in case I missed something. I'll just let my "hot streak" be broken. But I will hunt a few more event chests, in hopes of getting a few more good cannons. (I've received three level 4 thunderbolts so far, and while it isn't easy to even get one, if I get two more, I'll have gotten my five, which the "event completion" would have given me).

    Hello there Pirate,

During this event I have spoken to many players regarding Event points.

Some had it already completed even before the adjustment, some almost there and some way off like yourself (and including myself)

It seems the best way to obtain more points has been to do all of the quests every day (which in itself would give you around half of the requirement).

The players who have either completed it already or almost have said the best way is to do as many group maps as you can, farm ancient emblems (Atlantis npc's are good for this I'm told) and shoot odins/maidens along with ravens as they also now give more event points as a reward.

Having followed this advise myself I am now almost there with event points (I managed to jump up around 200k in 3/4 hours) and I'm certain I will now complete it too easily with what time we have left of the event.

I hope this information helps and that you also manage to get your event points completed.

Thank you mate, not only for this information, but for taking the time to type it all out.

Also, there seems to be a big discrepancy in the "Ancestral Call" map's timer. I noticed it twice, and so I decided to mention it now. If my group smoked the boss at the rate shown, I should have moved up in the rankings. I did not, and that's fine with me, but some players may wonder about this. (Note: we finished him off not long after I took this screenshot). I don't think it's lag. Update: I went in again right after this post, and diligently watched the timer. It reset to 0:00:00 around the 0:01:20 mark, so something isn't right. Then, on another trip, it reset well after we crossed the 2-minute mark.

    Hello there Pirate,

The timer within the Ancestral call group map is there to indicate the different phases of the Fossegrim npc.

You are correct, It does reset, Once Fossegrim has entered the final phase (when green healing circles start to appear on the map) then the timer will not reset any more and the actual objective is to keep Fossegrim alive for as long as possible, you may find that players during this phase will often just kill him either to get the map completed or because they do not understand how the map works.

Either way, once Fossegrim is dead either by being shot by players or npcs then the map is done and your time during the final phase will go towards map ranking (the longer the time the higher your rank).
