Here be Sharks! event will start on Friday, 15th April at 12 noon and will run until Wednesday, 27th April at 12 noon.

All times are local server times.

The “Here be sharks” event features the following:

• 1 new NPC: Mutant Shark that gives the “Mutant Shark Eggs”
• 1 new Ship Design: Megalodon’s Black-Maw
• 5 event quests (4 normal, one daily)
• 1 quest giver: Monroe Robinson
• 3 Traders: John Johnson, Jack Jackson, Jim Jimson
• 2 event rankings
  • Most currency spent at traders
  • NPC kill points

General Info

You need to hunt mutated sharks that are appearing in nautica.

From these sharks, you can obtain a currency called “Mutant Shark Eggs”.

After you hunted the Mutant Sharks, you can trade the Mutant Shark Eggs for special rewards on 3 different traders.

Once the hunting phase is over, there will be 3 different vendors that will spawn at different safe havens.

They are offering you quests that are used to trade the currency for rewards.

There will be no event currency in the event chests!

Trading Quests - How does it work?

You are finding the different quest givers on safe havens where they are spawning, the higher level areas of safe havens have different traders.

You need to hand in the Mutant Shark Eggs to get some nice rewards.

The 3 of them are giving out different rewards:

• Smugglin John has the following rewards for you: Megalodon’s Black-Maw, Masterwork tools, Pyre ammunition, King’s Legacy, Crowns, Obidience Trainer, Worldbreaker Cannon Level 1 recipe, Worldbreaker Cannon Level 4
• Smugglin Jack has the following rewards for you: Bastion Level 1 recipe, Overload, Pyre ammunition, Yulong, Vodoo Priest Level 4
• Smugglin Jim has the following rewards for you: Cannon Ironsights Level 2, Soul Drain, Safanad, Bastion Level 2 recipe, Commonwealth Guardian Level 5

Most Quests are repeatable every cycle, some of the better rewards, like the Commonwealth Guardian, are repeatable less often.

Event Chests

In the Event treasure chests you find many useful items, such as Pyre ammunition, Taureau Amulet, Simbi Amulet, Lion’s Fire, Stone of Storms, Bloodlust, Unstoppable, Teleporter, Asklepios Talent, Blood of the Inya, Tritons Benelovence, Tritons Crown, Poseidon’s Crown, Worldbreaker cannon level 0 and Mojo.

Shipwrecks

There will also be ship wrecks containing useful items as well, such as Pyre ammunition, Super Armor Plates, Black Powder, Hailstorm, Crystals, Poseidon’s Crown, Simbi Amulet, Steel Harpoons, and Firestorm Level 4.

Ammunition

Pyre ammunition causes more damage against the Mutant Sharks.

Post Event Compensation

The event keys are exchanged for normal keys and the Mutant Shark Eggs will be exchanged for Pyre ammunition.​

Description:

Doing a spot of sightseeing are we captain? Well gawk if you like, but if you’re after some coin you’re in the right place. Jack Hawk’s had his fun, has he? Gorejaw may be gone, but he left a right mess in his wake. And did our good mate Jack ever stop to look back at his carnage? Lucky for him, I’m here to pick up the pieces.

Task:

Inflict at least 4 000 000 damage to the NPC Mutant Shark

Description:

These sharks are tough, innit? Steel yourself for a long day mate, that’s what we’re here for. Dunno what Gorejaw did to ‘em but they ain’t like no normal knife-tooth. Have it on good authority that they burn easy, even in the water. Use that knowledge to your own ends.

Task:

Deal 250 000 damage to any player.

Description:

Sorry mate, fresh out of work for ya. Didn’t say nothing ‘bout being the only Captain on me payroll. Why? Cause you never asked. Don’t like it? Well, how about you dissuade your fellow hunters from their game? If the job gets done, who am I to huff at the fine details?

Description:

Got somethin’ for ya. Warrant for some seafood, fresh in season. They’re tough, angry and boy do they bite. Give ‘em a beatdown, and don’t you stop until they’re gone for good. Thought I saw one take a pistol shot and swim free. Nasty buggers ought to know when to quit!

Description:
