I only ask since one aspect of our Christmas Event tasks are to sink NPCs in Atlantis. I have perused the SF Bible but still have no clue as to how to unlock the torpedo slots (on the toolbar) or how to launch one. Any ideas? Thank you.

    Ahoy The*Defiant!

It works exactly the same way as selecting cannonballs on the surface, simply click on an active slot, select your torpedo lock an NPC and keep pressing fire button.

If you would like to fire more than one torpedo you need to complete all quest lines within Atlantis starting from
    Atlantis Quest Line 1.

Refresh the game once or twice and they should be there

    Ahoy!

These are Submarine Special Actions, which can be unlocked by doing the same quest lines 1 - 4.

You can read more about each action here ->

My thanks to both of you! (I am just trying to see if I can finish the Atlantis portion of the Christmas Event tasks without it consuming a ton of time).

Good luck with that. I've resigned myself to not completing the event tasks. :(

I was looking at it after my last post and remembered what you had previously said. I am thinking I will probably be like you in the end. But I will give it a fair try first and see.

    Ahoy Bawdyn!

Mind telling me why would you give up?

Current event and quests equip your Submarine with quite good launchers, torpedoes, war paints and more making your "Atlantean Experience" much much better.

On top of it event torpedo have additional damage which mean you wont be doing all your NPCs 1 000 damage each but much more!

You should not quit so easily, there are only 300 NPCs to be defeated which make it 30 a day to complete this task.

If you have any questions or perhaps you are completely "green" in Atlantean stuff feel free to create your own thread and ask about anything you are unsure of. I will do my best to provide answers to any query you may have.

@The*Defiant Do you have any further questions?

@Rymar I have no interest in the Atlantis portion of this game. There is already so much going on with the regular game that I can't keep up with, I don't have time to deal with another whole game embedded into SF. I play regularly, but only for about an hour or so a day. I haven't done anything in Atlantis beyond the 'go to a coordinate quest tasks'.

Also, I don't like the group maps. To the point that, for this event, I have now abandoned the two quest lines that require them. The first one, I managed to complete it once only in the 5 or 6 attempts. Nobody in it seems interested in completing it. And then the quests wanted me to do it again. The second map, just reading the description of how it works was enough to decide not to bother. Why do they need to be so complicated?

So, if I have no time/interest in two of the required tasks in the event, then I have no chance of completing it. Frankly, it's a lot less stressful to just abandon the main task, do the dailies for the quest lines I have completed, and then have even more time to do other things in RL.

I hope that answers your question.

@The*Defiant , sorry to have interrupted your post. I really do hope you figure it out and get the event done. I wasn't being sarcastic in wishing you luck. :)

Thanks Rymar...I am good for now. Much appreciated!

No problem, buddy. I feel like you do regarding Atlantis and I understand. I have extra time and just thought I would give it the "good ol' college try".
