The SF Bible says armor and super armor both give 10% less damage, but I can't find anything on the above. How much less damage does this item provide?

But you can only have max 100 on your ship and get new ones by shooting other players. :)

I scoured that specific section of the SF Bible before I posted my question, and I didn't find it. But I see this item is not in alphabetical order, and that is why I missed it. But thank you so much! Two other questions: (1) does it give 50% more damage prevention (as it states) in PvP combat, or only 10% as player "turnip" states? And (2) is the maximum limit a player can have equal to only 100, as player "Kenze" states? (I thought you could buy thousands of them in the marketplace). Thank you.

    Ahoy!

50% Damage Prevention vs. Players - information provided by your fellow pirate is simply incorrect.

No, there is no stack limit if you wish to purchase them, however there is an option to obtain them for free - up to a 100 from sinking players.

If you sunk a player and you own below 100 of these shields there is small chance to obtain some and once you hit 100 you won't get them anymore from sinking players.
