    Will not let me do the Equip 1 Hardwood Beam. What am I doing wrong?

    first of go to your ship overview at top of your seachart and then equip your beam.

    All the slots are blank, and it says all slots are full, can not move any beams over.

    Ah, you first must purchase a expansion slot by clicking the lines on the right side of that window, selecting at least 1, then pressing buy slots as shown below.
