    Fairly certain it is not to check if you are a bot or not, but the captcha is an additional source of revenue. Captcha are often not to check if there is a person or a robot logging in, but used to train Artificial Intelligence (AI) to recognize objects in picture .

    the images are of very poor quality to say the least - out of focus and look like scanned photocopies!

    Its more helpfull than what ya think, its for prevent the billion bot's to auto rejoin when Bigpoint run a restart, the bot is smart, but it isnt that smart. Just keep it as it is Bigpoint :D

    I don't mind the Captcha itself, it's just in the wrong place on the screen. It stays visible after you verify with it and the login ID selector is over top of it, but the Captcha is still visible under it. Move things around so they don't overlap or make the Captcha invisible once it's finished verifying.
