    Only codes are those associated with 'Events'. They usually follow on the day after launch event and largely consist of specific ammunition and event chest keys. Other features are often given.
    To catch up you will need to do the quests some of which give you better cannons etc but to really speed up spending money and buying better features is the only answer.
