On Dark and Stormy Tides Event​

The event will start at 12 noon on 16th November and ends at 12 noon on 20th November.

All times are local server times.

The On Dark and Stormy Tides event features the following:

• 2 event ships (1 normal and 1 admiral)
• 3 trader event ships
• Event chests
• Ship wrecks
• Limited event currency
• 2 event rankings
• 4 Quests (2 normal, one daily and 1 for Players who are using the Seafight Client)
• 3 new Ship designs: Blue Label, Double Cask and Hot Toddy

General Info

The “On Dark and Stormy Tides” event is a small hunt event where you can hunt 2 event ships, Grog Bootlegger and Captain Ron on maps 5 – 45.

Captain Ron spawns after a certain amount of Grog Bootlegger has been sunk.

3 Trader event ships, Smugglin´ Jack, Smugglin´ Jim and Smugglin' Johnny, spawn on the Sea chart every 4 hours for 30 minutes.

All event ships must be shot with elite ammunition.

A new limited currency called „Barrels of Grog“ is brought into the game via the event ships.

On every megaserver, there is a limited amount of Barrels of Grog available.

The more of the currency is distributed in the game, the less event ships spawn. Once all Barrels of Grog are in the game, event ships don´t spawn anymore.

If a player is sunk or attacked by another player, the enemy can loot the Barrels of Grog of the victim. How many Barrels of Grog change the owner is determined by the stock of both players.

There is a safe amount of Barrels of Grog that cannot be stolen by other players.

Every 2 hours you lose 5% of your Barrels of Grog, which can be avoided with a new buff: “Grog Master”.​

Ammunition

Soul Eater ammunition causes more damage against all event ships.​

Rewards

• Grog Bootlegger:
  • Depending on how much damage caused, you are rewarded with EXP, Barrels of Grog and Pearls.
  • Players who are using the Seafight Client have a chance to receive Crowns or Yulong coins instead of Pearls.
  • The player who inflicts the most damage receives Pearls.
• Captain Ron:
  • Depending on how much damage caused, you are rewarded with EXP, Barrels of Grog and Pearls.
  • The player who inflicts the most damage has a chance to receive Pearls or the new design “Double Cask”.
  • When using the Seafight Client the player receives pearls, Crowns, Yulong coins or the new Design: “Double Cask”. Fallback for the new Design: Pearls, for Seafight Client user Crowns.
  • The player who does the last shot receives Soul Eater ammunition, Worldbreaker cannon recipes level 0 or the new Design “Double Cask”. Fallback for the new Design: Worldbreaker cannon recipes level 2.

Both event ships drops from time to time Barrels, which contains Barrels of Grog.​

Event Chests

In the event chests you can find many useful items, Soul Eater ammunition, Pirate Bolt (crafting material), Dragonfire, Simbi and Legba Amulets, Painbringer cannons level 0, Whirlpool, Tritons Crowns and other items.​

Shipwrecks

The player who inflicts the most damage gets many useful items such as Firestorm cannons level 1, Soul Eater ammunition, Super Armor plates, Hailstorm and Crystals.​

You can accept quests by speaking to Jack Hawk (Safe haven).
There are 2 normal quests and 2 repeatable quests (8 h and 24 hours for Seafight Client quest).​

Description:

Some nice haul you got there Cap'n, but now, it's time to target the head of this little grog trading operation. Captain Ron, ol' *******, made his gold doing dirty things for the Commonwealth. Let's just say I'll be happy to see his business sink at the bottom of the ocean, and so should you!​

Description:

Don't forget the rules Cap'n, ya keep one barrel for ya, but don't drink it on the job, well, not the whole barrel at least! The rest, you take it to one of the triplets. One of them will give ya a good deal for it. More barrels equals better chances of getting a good reward. Simple as that. Now go out and get those scums out of Save Haven!​
