    I've played it thrice already, I've shot down the enemy's middle tower every time, but it ends with no reward and the message "your efforts were blah blah"

    Please make sure that you are playing against a player - not a training mode.

    Please be aware that Training Mode do not provide any rewards, only challanging players does.
