    does the raven give dodge from incoming rocket damage or from cannon damage ?

    Dodge chance is for cannon damage, and it's best on PvP fights.

    Ahoy,

    Your fellow pirate is correct, the Dodge chance provided is the same as regular dodge chance - it applies to the damage you receive when being shot.
