Refraction zone

I have an idea that I think people might like. We have had several server merges now and if there was to be another it would most probably be the ultra server and mega usa server. while some may want this, others do not, primarily because of the amount of people playing being too much for an already struggling server to handle. This would then most likely close the door on sub servers and mainly have a majoritively open world single server.

This in my opinion would ruin what's remaining of general gameplay for a lot of people and would not be ideal so I thought of a compromise.

Why not take a page out of the darkorbit playbook and create a special open world refractions zone? This would not only allow the 2 main combined servers to integrate on a small amount of maps outside of the normal sea but allow other servers who are not included in the 2 main ones to fight people from other servers too.

The problem with refractions over at darkorbit is that it is a map where it's just people shooting each other and that does get boring with no incentives

So a seafight version of this could maybe include special islands for alliances to capture providing certain bonuses, it could include new special ammo's and special battle point systems specific to the map, new action items specific to the map, special events such as maybe a double bp or marauder type event specific to the map and even more.

And more importantly, it would give players the option to go into a map and fight players from another server without doing a permanant server merge.

Hope this is a good idea that bigpoint considers.
