Seeking for a quick guide

Hello fellow pirates. I just got back after a few years and was hoping someoene could help me out , i'm not sure what's the best way to build up the ship, here follows a quick des on my current situation:

Pirate level 21

Castles:
Astrolabe, Gunpowder, Carpentry liv 8
cannon loader, centerboard, adamantine hull liv 8
amulet pedestal, voodoo mirage, fortified gem liv 6
illusion enhancer, shipwright schematics, poisoner's lab liv 6
Sternpost, cannon storage, rocket rack liv 8
military expert, ferocious bookkeeper liv 8

Skills:
this is quite confusing to sum up so i'll keep it short saying that the onest that look useful to farm faster and grow up are all done. (would like to know how to reset my points)

Cannons:
This is the thing i'm working on at the moment, need to buy 80 more cannon slots.
Full admiral and level 5 60p
then got a bunch of the new ones, 30 devastator 50 worldbreaker

Gems:
2 main ships (trying to build a 3rd)

PVE: +49Speed 26% cannon dmg 22% crit damage 14.5% dodge chance and 26% prevention
Repair: 10%lp 23% cannon damage 12% hit prob 46% repair 26% prevention
PVP: should be like the pve but swapping crit with hit chance

I think this covers up the most important things, now the real problem is that even though i realize i need like 30-40 million pearls to get full castles and skills and buy the cannon slots what i really don't understand is how i should be getting crowns, hundreds of thousands of crowns are needed and the only way to farm them that i have found are:
5k daily quest, commonwealth ships and the NPC in the 12 map, all of these methods are increadibly slow given that commonwealth npc with hollows take an eternity to get as much as 1k coins.

So what should my approach be and what should i be focusing on.

 

castles looks good, though you should change poisoner's lab liv to wildfire, only need poisoner while using heartbreak and burning ice ammo while PVP fighting and wildfire gives your flares a ticking effect like burnice ice ammo.

The only way I know how to reset skill points is by earning them by sinking the unchained marauder and emperor's hand but unfortunately those are only on map 31/1 and 31/2.
But on the offensive side you want everything except the boarding bonus
On the defense side, if you don't wanna focus on PVP yet, the only thing you really need would be damage prevention and hitpoints (don't really need hitpoints I guess but nice to have)
On the economy side, nothing is needed except speed if you wanna be faster and extra gold from NPCs. And it's obviously nice to do some damage and reload fast with harpoons when you level up and do quests.

there's not much time left but you should try to get as many season quests/chests done as quick as you can (ends november 30), best way to get worldbreakers. Any cannons excpet worldbreakers and painbringers are dogshit compared to those two

Best way to get crowns is through events, the marauder event is going on right now and you can get some nice crowns from the marauder fleet, 4k crowns if you sink it yourself I think, also really good for pearls. If no events is going on daily quests and farming NPCs are pretty much the only thing to do. Also go for the admirals Revenge and Imperious, you can get 1500 crowns from them and some nice pearls and a commonwealth sellsword lvl 2 from the revenge if you get to board it. (you may already know that but saying it just in case)

gems are good

but you should focus on crowns as much as you can, you're gonna need many hundreds of thousands of crowns in order level up and of course to max your skill tree. The hard part about farming crowns for lower level players are that you usaully don't have much flare or explosive ammo since you're gonna burn a lot on the commonwealth npcs but not gonna get pearls back since you don't get pearls. So you have to get a lot of pearls from events like the marauder event that's going on now and I think a new one is coming in a few days so make sure you play that one, there's usually always events going on, if one event ends a new one usually starts within a week (discluding marauder events since those happens every month). But if no event is going on shooting Drairs hrell and the behemoth raid is the best pearl NPCs, though I wouldn't recommend shooting behemoth raid alone cause you're probably gonna loose pearls on the small NPCs but you're gonna get a lot of pearls from the boss

Unfortunately i just realized castles got to level 10...
As far as wildfire goes i had poisoner's lab because i decided it was better for pvp in the old days

As for the skill yes i need just a couple more on the damage and i'm good to go, i would not need them if i could reset but some points are wasted.

I'm trying to do the season to get as many world breakers as possible that's how i got my first few, but i doubt i can achieve a lot more points.

I still have around 20 mil throaway ammos so i guess i just use them on marauders now. When there are no events is it better to farm glitters ---> maps ---> ammo ---> crowns or hollowing the commonwealth?

Last thing is what priority should leveling up have, my thought was to start getting levels after all cannons slots are bought.

Ps. Did a few marauder's fleet and they only give pearls so i guess crowns are very rare or is there another npc which is almost impossible to find (at least in lower maps)?

 

When there's no event you wanna farm crowns if you have something you wanna buy crowns for. Like skills and cannon slots. When that's done, if you have reached level 31 by then you wanna start farming yulong coins for upgrading worldbreakers and pains and more cannon slots, but if you haven't you just wanna shoot drakirs hrell for pearls and farm crowns. You could hollow the behemoth map but it's gonna go hella much slower if you're there alone, a lot more chill tho compared to shooting loads of drakirs hrell.

As for leveling, I'd say you should level up to lvl 26 and while you do daily quests between level 26-30 you can farm crowns again to buy the cannon slots. Downside is that you're gonna need like 600k crowns to level from lvl 21-24. But if you're in no rush to level up you can go for the cannon slots first. You usually wanna level up asap so you can farm yulong coins and gain weapon slots when you level from lvl 31-45

 

Alright thanks again, one last question that i forgot is how to get reinforced ribs, i see that those give dmg prevention instead of the hp beams give but have not found where i can purchase them, only upgrades were in the store during the event.

 

They have made it possible through crafting now, only been out for a couple of weeks so materials and recepies are not easy to get yet, maybe will be available in the coming events. Otherwise it's payment packages, if you see a package with reinforced ribs lvl 5 just go for that if you wanna spend money on this game, would probably cost about at least £50. You don't need more than 17 reinforced ribs, it's the max you can have right now (discluding 60 extension slots from commonwealth guardian cause no one uses him), but you're gonna be around 12 reinforced ribs all the time when you've finished the crowns for extension slots, have voodo, ivory and ebony deck and defense skill from the skill tree and shipwright schematics.

Another thing I should add is that if you see a Freedom event happening you wanna shoot those, you get really nice pearls from those. And if you're able to shoot the Freedom II you can get crowns and yulong coins too, pretty sure the normal Freedom only gives pearls. Could be a bit hard for you to shoot the Freedom II since you don't deal much damage and it has 150 mil HP so would be good if someone could tank it for you. But if you have max cannon range and use Windstorm you can shoot the normal freedom without getting hit.

 

Freedom II has been out of my league, too much received damage anyways thanks again for all the infos, glad to see there are still people helping out the community!

 

the most important thing is to get to 31+ level. when u reach 26 you can farm pearls on the lion raid map. and when you get to 31+ you can get yulong. and reputation. when u get enogh rep. you gets yulong and pearls on raid. and you can take it from there. you also get cannons + other stuff from the season.
