The Hunt for Dead October​

The event starts at Thursday, 29th September at 12 noon and ends Monday, 3rd October at 12 noon.

All times are local server times.

The Hunt for Dead October event features the following:

• 2 event ships (1 normal, 1 admiral)
• 1 quest chain with 2 normal quests and 4 daily quests
• Event ranking
• Event chests

General Info

The “Hunt of the dead October” is an upgraded spawn event where you can hunt two event ships, “Vial Collector” and “Dead October”, on maps 5 - 50.

“Vial Collector” drops “Poison vials” on death.

Attention: Collecting “Poison vials” can be dangerous!

“Dead October” is an admiral which spawn after a certain number of “Poison vials” have been collected.

All event ships must be shot with elite ammunition.​

Event NPCs

• Vial Collector:
  • Depending on how much damage cause, you are rewarded with EXP and Pearls, Crowns or Yulong Coins.
  • Leaves Poison Vials (glitter like) that need to be collected to get the Dead October spawned.
• Poison Vial:
  • You can get a buff, e.g. speed/cannon damage buff or a de-buff (Plague & Contagion Curse).
  • Also possible to drop an item package (with Crystals, Harpoons, Mojos).
  • Small chance to drop Unstoppable .
  • Small chance for an epic win (Pearls).
• Dead October:
  • Depending on how much damage cause, you are rewarded with EXP and Pearls, Crowns or Yulong Coins.
  • The player who inflicts the most damage (at least 2%) is rewarded with ELP and the Red Dead October design or Gold.
  • The player who does the last shot (at least 2% damage) receives the Red Dead October design or Gold.
  • Fallback rewards for the design: Pearls, Black Powder, Unstoppable, Teleportation and the Plaque item.

Event chests

In the event chests you find many useful items, like Marauder ammunition, Dragon Fire level 2, Dragon Powder, Chi-Chi Sticks, Crafting materials, Worldbreaker cannon level 1 and some other items. ​

Ammunition

Marauder ammunition causes more damage against all event ships.​

You can accept Quests by speaking to Loreena Barret and Bill ‘Barnacle’ Ballard.

There are 2 quests and 4 daily quests.

The daily quests are reset each day at 12 noon (local server time). ​

Description:

I fear the day death will walk freely amongst us. It happened before, and some twisted souls will stop at nothing to see it happen again! What you saw on these ships is but the beginning. No doubt their targer are the fools ashore, too keen to drunk themselves in stupor at the sight of a free cask. You must stop The Dead October, captain, and drive it back to its watery grave.
