I "found" VP in chests several times, and I did not have ANY VP added to my point any of those times. ZERO. This map is screwed up. I met another boat 5 seconds into the map and he sunk me with half his hit points still intact. HOW is he hitting so much harder than me??? Cheating is the only answer. This happened two times in a row. I thought we were all equal to start. Apparently not. Bogus.

I posted this previously: Can a player buy VP additions that quickly (i.e., within 30 seconds of entering the map)? I thought we start with zero runes upon entering the map. Is that not the case?

I just now successfully completed the "Treasure Tracker" quest. I didn't get a ship "title". Or was there no "title" to be awarded? (It can be confusing).

    Event Changes:
    • Nordic Rumble, increased the Deserter duration from 15 minutes to 2 hours. <-- Is this referring to a penalty you get for leaving the map alive?
I sank a guy in the Nordic Rumble and got 10 points (it showed on the seachart). But another guy sank me seconds later, and my sink never showed in my logbook, but his did. What gives?

Lastly, why does Eona Norling recycle her quests every 12 hours, but Sigurd Lundgren does every 24 hours? I'm trying to complete a task right now, and it sure makes it tougher this way. Thank you.

Nordic Rumble is a bad idea in my opinion.
People just join and die to get the tokens you need for the market.

People just go with 2 or 3 ships and they focus fire everything they see so the map is not being played the way as it is intended.
The only way to get the tokens (to buy the things we need) is to play the dreadfull map, and you also need a ton of tokens and if you play as intended and become last 4, it also gives almost the same few tokens as if you just do nothing for 10 minutes.
Nautica maps are almost empty because every one is in SH or Nordic Rumble.

    Overall experience; Horrible

You can't gain VP from glitters/chests until you buy the buff first. And for the other boat hitting harder, they could have picked up a chest that had additional damage or they got the extra hp buff from a chest.

You are allowed to "team up". It isn't against the rules to do so.

    Ahoy .Kenze.!

I did read your post and I do understand your complain however I've answered your question in my previous post.

Players can gain extra HP, damage, rockets fired, rocket damage etc. from chests which mean they will cause much more damage than you.

If that's not the answer you expected then please try reading our FAQ on Nordic Rumble as I can't put it in any simpler way possible.

    Ahoy Tergrinder!

You won't receive any Voodoo Points unless you unlock them first by purchasing the buff from a trader (cost 500 Runes).

Players are hitting harder than you because they did pick up an additional bonuses found in chests.

This map is working as intended, there is nothing wrong with it.

    Ahoy Codusik!

If you believe that any player within this map is cheating please forward their IDs to Support.

Posting them here, within forum, won't help.

    Ahoy $тїffгёя!

Thank you for your feedback, have you tried doing some quests from the Notice Board? These take only a minute and provide additional coins making it a bit more easier to collect them.

The map is designed in a simple way, the longer you "live" the more coins will be given to you at the end.

    Ahoy Slacker57xx!

    You are correct! (-:

Your are so right My brother I was the boat that said lol Right below the stacked comment, and yes 26,000 points is like crazy that boat must live in the map 24/7 and i thought i was seeing things at first until i followed a few boats in ghost mood that map is bug city

I wish the moderators would stop implying the answer is "plain to see" in the FAQs. That is why we have questions, because in many cases, they are not answered in the FAQs. And sometimes, not even after we ask them. Example - pirate .Kenze. asked: "They were shot down to under 500.000 hp after use their items/rockets,therefor I should have sunked them with over hp 1.2 mill right?" The answer he was given still leaves his question unanswered. Sure, the damage buffs make players hit harder, but not that much harder! If I have 1.2 million in hit points, and fight a player with 500,000 (or less), I had better win that fight up in the Nordic Rumble map! Otherwise, someone needs to explain to me (and other players) how that is possible, assuming I/we didn't click "cancel attack" while fighting him.

Since I am not getting some of my previous questions answered, I'll try a more concise approach:

Nordic Runble map: 1) When we first enter the map, do we enter with zero runes? And how do we keep track of how many we have at any one point in time? I know we can see our runes total at one of the quest givers, but it takes time to sail to one, and entails "battle risk". Or are we supposed to estimate what we have at any point in time by reading the seachart floating messages, and doing the math in our heads? (I don't see the count listed in my "Currency" box, or in my "Depot"). 2) do the quests like "Treasure Tracker" that we complete here lead to getting one of these new Seafight "titles"? 3) does the term "deserter duration" refer to voluntarily leaving the map? Which means if I do so, I must wait 2 hours to re-enter it? 4) I sank a guy in the Nordic Rumble and got 10 points (it showed on the seachart). But another guy sank me seconds later, and my sink never showed in my logbook, but his sink on me did. What gives? and 5) why does Eona Norling recycle her quests every 12 hours, but Sigurd Lundgren does every 24 hours? I'm trying to complete a task right now, and it sure makes it tougher this way. Thank you.

Update: I had to add one more question. I just fought a player late in this map and I had 750,000 VP and 1.4 million hit points. I could not get his VP down! His ship kept flashing a weird light-yellow aura every few seconds. It was the same color as the portal to enter this map. What was that? It isn't part of the game! I fought again a player with it, and this time, I had the "rare" and "epic" buffs, which included fast repair, long range of vision, and high damage. Again - I didn't get the player below 300,000 in his VP!!! And I had just refueled my VP. My total base was 2 million+. It is quite frustrating. Tell me what I was doing wrong...my guess is nothing on my end. (And without a plausible explanation, I have one, but you won't like it).

Nordic rumble is a luck based map, nothing to do with skill or whatever, and I do not know if i can keep up these time consuming events.
Events used to be all fun and games, but the last few years they turned into a hefty grind, and some are okay, but this rumble map is not even fun, but you have to do it or you will miss out on some very important stuff. I did a few missions but did not get the design for treasure hunting, so even more fun was taken away.

I just go in and wait till im out so i can collect my 15-30 tokens and go in again.

Q1: how do people get more firingrange then me in nordic, i thought everyone had the same stats, i have not yet seen a chest with extra long firingrange

Q2: How do i get the deserter debuff while i was not going out of the map..
yes i left SH to nautica, and since then i got 2hour debuff. Are we not allowed to play dailies in between or whatever? please fix or remove that debuff completely because if one leaves the map it is not an inconvenience to others.

    Ahoy $тїffгёя!

Everyone has the same entry stats - that's correct. But as noted by you this map is related to luck.

You can find several buffs within chests like: damage, rocket damage, rockets fired (amount), def. against NPCs, HP, Speed, Bigger Cannon Range in all variety (different in % or the amount).

The deserter debuff should be applied to you when you leave the map without playing it - you should join in - get sunk - spawn as a ghost and then press leave if you dont wish to watch. If you simply logout or leave them map without playing it you'll be given a deserter debuff.

    Hi Rymar

Thanks on Q1, I did not know there was a canonrange buff in the chests since i have not gotten it yet.
I was a bit stunned when i got shot from range and i was not able to shoot back.

As you can read in my original Q2 i have not left the Njordic rumble map, i was already shot out and i left as a ghost via the button, then i came in to SH and i got that debuff instantly so that does not work very well.

    Ahoy $тїffгёя!

Does that happen every time you go in -> get sunk -> spawn as ghost -> press leave?

If so could you please provide you server and user ID?

I attempted to replicate your issue but without success, each time I got sunk by an NPC or a player, spawned as a ghost and went straight for the "leave" button nothing (the debuff) has been applied onto my ship.

Skuld has no quests. Do I need to do anything to trigger his quests?

I do see the Atlantis Quest.

I've done my dailys first (Sigurd, Eona, Magnus) and then I noticed a new quest at Skuld so can't tell ya which of these did trigger the new one.

    Hello there Pirate,

In response to your above questions -

    1. yes, you always enter with zero runes, if you leave or are sunk out then all of your unused collected runes are removed.
Your collected runes will be found in your currency box at the bottom next to your rumble tokens, Please note if you have not collected any runes, or have spent them, or you are not in the rumble map then you will not see any in your currency box as you will not own any.

    2. No, there is no title awarded for completing the treasure tracker quest or any other rumble map quest.

    3. if you sunk a player it should appear in your logbook, is it possible you were shooting a player at the same time an npc was also shooting that player, and maybe the npc got the final shot and the sink.

    4. The quest giver reset times can differ and are not always reset at the same time, this applies to events, level quests, daily quests etc.

    5. It is possible for a player who has accumulated many runes to park up next to a trader and whilst in battle can repeatedly cash in trades , please bear this in mind.

Please Note, Your questions in the forum will be answered however sometimes a little patience is required.

With all due respect, you can see it wasn't a matter of patience. Rymar answered multiple questions after I posted my third request, and one answer was to a player whose question I had previously asked. That is disrespectful, by any standard.

Thank you for the answers. I have used the "trader proximity" myself in battle. It happened twice with two different players. I'm pretty sure that at least one of them was not near a trader, but there was a light-yellow flash in both battles. I hit one critical salvo for 174k+, so my salvos were pretty high. I would have expected the player to (at the very least) go below his regular hit point base. I had the rare, epic, and other high buffs, too, in the second battle. I'm simply trying to understand what I did not do right. I will keep trying, and see what happens.

And the marketplace still has several items unavailable for purchase, with each having a red zero with a diagonal line through it, stating: "Only available during a special event phase". Since we are now in phase 5, when will these open up for trading?
