There is no issue with the booking of the design, the design had to be created with the winning countries colours, and then once done will be booked to all winners via a script.

This takes time and that is why the design is not booked at the end of the event. It should be booked within the coming few days.

they only managed to paint the sails they still hv to build the ship ... plenty stuff to do, it typically seems to take about a one to two years from laying the keel to commissioning. However, looking at the early history of the U.S. navy, it sometimes took longer, sometimes as long as 5 years, if the design was particularly unorthodox, or there were shortages of funds.

 

we all know there should be no shortage of funds with bp but there may be a shortage of material since many people learned the last time this event was run to choose germany. i'm willing to bet 2-3 times as many players chose germany this time as last. we need to make a call to all captains who have been in the game over 5 years and have them run aground some of their seldom used ships and have sf send barges to collect the material to finish all the designs that are needed. in these times we all need to pitch in and help. also _ratty_ thanks for the history but unfortunately sf isn't using the u.s. naval yards. they likely got gilligan and the skipper doing the work from some uncharted desert isle.

Until that time we can only ask that you remain patient.
