And it is extra difficult when you have a "Marauder Hunt" event running at the same time. Everyone is wanting to fight, and most of them are either high-level boats, or hunting in packs.

 

I finally saw the main boss npc (Jormungandr) in map 50/1. I shot it with my big boat, along with a ton of other players. My rewards were terrible! I earned no souls. Are you kidding me? It is a 10 billion hit point ship! Jeepers, it stunk up the high seas.

They may not be the kind of rewards you were hoping for, But personally I wouldn't describe over 2 million pearls and almost 6k Interest as a terrible reward.

I have a ton of pearls, mate, so that's worth nothing to me. And I have absolutely no "interest" in the "interest" I received. It costs ten bucks (or more) to get some pretty paltry rewards. Not paying souls out on a ten billion hit point event npc, when they are very valuable (5k in radiant souls and 15k in cursed souls needed for the "morale boost" item), is a slap in the face to everyone. I normally am determined enough to get everything offered that is valuable. But I gave up on the "morale boost" offering. It just took way too long to try to get those radiant and cursed soul totals! And whoever decided what the requirements should be for "morale boost" should have to "walk the plank". It had the exact opposite effect: it decreased morale.
