worldbreakers vs admirals

    hi if i equipped 300 admiral cannons and used hollow ammunition would i do more damage than if i was using worldbreakers with the same ammo

    Worldbreakers are currently the best cannon in the game.

    #1. Worldbreaker level 5 (6 currently not available)
    2. Worldbreakers level 4
    3 worldbreakers level 3
    4 painbringers lvl 6/5
    5 worlds lvl 2/1/0
    6 painbringers lvl 4/3

    admirals arent really used in the game anymore unless you are going for ELP and im pretty sure admirals give more battle points if you sink a player but the damage isnt great.

    Admirals would do more damage with hollow ammuntion since worldbreaker doesn't have any extra gold damage and the admiral has +2 gold damage

    i missed the hollows bit, your right.

    With my current set up i had 14k and 22k crits.

    with admirals i was hitting 15k and 21k crits.

    yeah since worldbreaker reloads quicker, gives you 20% crit chance and more crit damage it's worth to use worldbreakers either way

    dont'n even bother compare admiral with worldbraker. The only reason to shoot with admiral in 2020 is to get more elite points (shooting elite ammo with low damage). Ask yourself if you need elite points though.

    Use Admirals and Hollows to do Bonus maps you get more bang for your buck. If the bonus map NPC have more HP than you can take down in reasonable amount of time use as many Bastion as you have with the Admirals with whatever Pearl ammo you have. Loading the Commonwealth Guardian helps on some Bonus Maps and Rift. I personally believe in a Mix of Cannons Lvl 6 Painbringers give 110% bonus and Lvl 6 Devastators give huge crits while Worldbreaker gives big hits and speed. Work with your mix on the Bonus maps and use what you think you need.

    waisted time to shoot bonus with hollows, dont even think about it, send your captain shoot bonus... these days flares are the hollows of 2009.

    You turn Gold into Pearls using Admirals and Hollows.

    you turn your time to nothing using admirals and hollows ... hollows only in virgo map... consider shooting with admiral and hollows cancer map, how many hours to complete this?? So you shoot with worldbrakers/flares you finish in about an hour and you have another 3-4 hours? (if you play with hollows) to go shoot drakir, go shoot maybe commonwealth raid (now with the new raid i believe that lionmap is kind empty compare to the past) Always consider your time my friend, your time is the most valuable :D

    I really appreciate your thoughts on the proper ranking of these cannons. I do have one question though (I was just now referring back to it). Why would you rank a Level 0 Worldbreaker cannon over a Level 4 Painbringer cannon? Below is the comparison (am I missing something)?

    Level 4 Painbringer Level 0 Worldbreaker

    Elite Ammo bonus: 90 100
    Cannon Range: 30 30
    Reload time: 6.6 6.9
    Hit probability: 75% 75%
    Critical Hit probability: 20% 20%
    Critical damage: 20% 20%

    One more thing: I looked in the Seafight Bible and when "Painbringer cannons"" were announced, this is what was said, and I wonder if this is no longer true?

    The Elite Ammunition Bonus and Elite Ammunition percentage mentioned below apply to each cannon you have. These values are dependent upon how many Painbringer Cannons you have equipped.

    For example, if you have all Level 0 Painbringer cannons, you will get a +50 Elite Ammunition Bonus, plus an additional 50% Elite Ammunition Bonus percentage. This creates a total value of a +75 Elite Ammunition Bonus per cannon.

    Another example: If half of your cannons are Level 0 Painbringers, and the other half are 50 Pounders, you will only receive an extra 25% Elite Ammunition Bonus. This creates a total value of a +62.5 Elite Ammunition Bonus per Painbringer cannon.

    Note: The Elite Ammunition bonus percentage is applied to all equipped cannons and other items, which provide an Elite Ammunition Bonus. For example, a ship equipped with half Doomhammers and half Painbringers, both the Doomhammers and the Painbringers would receive a +25% increase.

    Technically The Pain Lv 4 > World Lv0 by a 171 vs 170 bonus damage assuming a full ship. Add in the faster reload of the pains and we have a clear winner.

    Thank you! I know it is a close race, but I thought the Level 4 Painbringers edged out the Level 0 Worldbreakers. May I ask you: how did you calculate bonus damage? (I think one of them is 100 + 70% extra = 170, but would you elaborate)?

    Pain lvl 4 is 90 + 90%, assuming full, you get 90 + (90 x 0.9) = 171 elite ammunition bonus per cannon.

    This is correct, the calculation assumes you have only one or the other cannon equipped.
