Gem Cutter

Can I take the gem Lapis from every ship into my inventory and use the gem cutter to try and upgrade it? Is there any draw backs to this? Will it work? I am asking this now since I can only do this once so I need to know the precautions to this. 100%

You are able to do this. Please note, it takes 4 of a lower lever to get to the next level. It will also cost pearls and gold depending on the gem level.

 

Cost pearls/gold for what? At this point does it cost anything? Or later on?

What is the new gem going to have for HP? For Level 2, 3 ,4 ,etc

Information about the Gem levels and their bonuses can be found -> HERE

However it appears currently the Defensive Gem Image is unavailable, so:

The HP Gem increases in increments of 5,000, e.g.
Level 1 = 5,000 HP,
Level 2 = 10,000 HP,
Level 3 = 15,000 HP
....
Level 17 = 85,000 HP​

You should also note, that it takes four of the Same Level gems (they don't have to all be lapis but you risk getting a different type of gem) to upgrade to a higher level gem, not just four lower gems as Nimitz said.

However it is only available to buy using actual currency at certain times, and currently can not be purchased.

Unfortunately this was extremely dissapointing for us free players

 

May I suggest that you try to earn event designs from various events, that is the best way to get strong gems without having to pay.
