    Hi,
I'm returning to the game after many years but I noticed A LOT has changed and even a lot of maps, cannons, items, etc got added.
No idea when I last played but it was in the time when 700k HP and 400k VP was a lot, but since I almost got oneshotted today I reckon it's quite diffrent from back in the day.
Not gonna lie I'm confused when I login and I scrolled through all of FAQ but I'm still somewhat confused.
What should I do first? Which missions are good? Which NPC's do I need to talk to?
Which cannons should I focus on? What about crew and other items like decks?
I used to have good items for back in the days so I'm not starting from zero, but I want to know how to go from there to being able to stand my ground and not feel like a lvl1 with a sloop.
Any other info that might help me is more than welcome.
    Thx in advance!

    Ahoy .Ðarta.!

    Welcome back!

When exactly did you leave the game?

There has been soooo many changes over the past few years! Many improvements and lots of new content (levels, captains, atlantis etc.).

The best cannons in game right now is called Thunderbolt, this one can be obtained quite easily from events, daily quests, rankings and payment packages.

Is it still hard to climb up within Seafight? No!

We've got plenty of events and a season that will equip your ship with all necessary items!

Firstly it would be great if you could provide a bit more details on what you own (where are you in the game right now), so that we can tell you more on what you should focus on as first.

Could you please answer the following:

    - What sort of cannons do you own right now?
    - What's your level?
    - Gems in use?
    - Do you own any ship extensions?
    - Did you read our FAQ on the League of Captains?

    Your first goal hmmm... the
League of Captains as this is a great source of FREE ammunition, action items and other goodies. (NOTE: Do NOT upgrade any of your captains if you own them - not yet!)

Apart from that stay on your current pirate level for now - as the lower the better (to get a feel of the game once again).

Focus mainly on the current event - even smaller boats can slowly sink some NPCs for profit so I know you can manage!

Take a brief look at our Season, select some easy task and try to accomplish them!

    Hi,
    I think I last played around 2017.

    - What sort of cannons do you own right now?
I have 70 Devastator cannons, 200 voodoo cannons level 3, 70 Firestorm cannons level 5 and 200 doomhammer cannons.
I can only equip 316 cannons.

    - What's your level?
    I am level 22
    - Gems in use?
    +49 Speed
    +20% Damage
    +24% Critical damage
    +100.000 HP
    +21% Damage prevention

    - Do you own any ship extensions?
I have 10 reinforced ribs level 0 and 10 reinforced ribs level 1
    - Did you read our FAQ on the League of Captains?
Not yet fully, I have around 1mil elite and 1mil flares, plus also several other special ammo.

    Ahoy .Ðarta.!

Alright, so right from beginning go to the in-game market (top of your sea chart) and try to find Captain's Chest.

There should be an option to buy like 5 of them for Pearls only.

Once you've got them on your account make sure to read our
FAQ on the League of Captains (and as stated in post above do NOT upgrade any of your captains yet).

This will allow you to send your Captains off to free missions that do not cost you anything.

In short, you wake up send your captains and you go to work! During that time your captain will complete assigned task and when you'll be back home some free rewards will be awaiting you!

When it comes to Captains and their missions there are always:

    - 2x missions that reward min. 50 000 Flare ammo
    - 2x missions that reward min. 1 000 Yulong Coins
    - 1x mission that rewards Dragon Gunpowder

These (if possible to be done) should be "your daily routine" as for the beginning. Once you'll get used to the game your captains will grow (as you collect more captain chests from events etc. and upgrade your Captains to higher tiers).

Now, lets move onto your Gems. In your post you stated:

    - Gems in use?
    +49 Speed
    +20% Damage
    +24% Critical damage
    +100.000 HP
    +21% Damage prevention

Check your Gem cutter inventory for any Booty Bags owned, and if needed open some.

Your gems should look line this:

    - Special Gem of your choice, recommended 5% Armour Plate Bonus
    - Max Damage that you own
    - Max Hut Probability that you own
    - Max Damage Prevention that you own
    - Max Dodge Chance that you own

Your pet gems should look like this:

    - Max Damage Prevention owned
    - Max Dodge Chance owned

In regards to your extensions use as many of Level 1 Ribs as you can and do not mix anything with them.

Mixing Extensions will only result in lower Damage Prevention on your account as some values are Absolute and some are Average, more information on that can be found here ->
    Ship Extensions

Open our in-game shop and get the following items / crew members):

    - Commonwealth Sellsword L2 (purchasing 1 = 24 hours)
    - Cabin Boys (1 is enough as he will last 24 hours)
    - Powder Monkey(s) (purchasing 1 = 24 hours)
    - Pet Trainers: Aggression L1 and Agility L1 (purchasing 1 = 24 hours)

Note: Cabin Boys and Powder Monkey(s) works as soon as you purchase them, Sellsword and Trainers need to be equipped in Crew (Swords menu right side of your shopping cart).

Once your ship is equipped as listed above try to defeat some event NPCs to gain some additional currency.
This will take you some time but it will allow you to move forward.

Once you've sunk several NPC take a look at the event market by going to Shop -> Items -> Njord Saga (left panel)

These are the items that will increase your overall performance (note that crew members or buffs last only few days), which will allow you to make even greater profits:

    - Thunderbolt Cannon, Thunderbolt Cannon L1, Thunderbolt Cannon L2, Thunderbolt Cannon L3
    - Commonwealth Sellsword L5
    - Ice Queen Figurehead
    - Agility Trainer L5
    - Aggression Trainer L5
    - Overlord Cannon L6 (if you manage to get majority of Thunderbolt Cannons as these are only a bit weaker. You can get them all once the event will be on its final days)

The setup mentioned above will allow you to gather lots and lots of currencies (the more you play the better).

If you have any questions / issues feel free to ask! (-:

PS. I myself do not focus on leveling up when a great event is on. That's why theres not a single word on where to find new quests etc.. Focusing on your boat development should be your main priority.

    Happy Sailing!

Ok, I have done all that and also bought a good package deal on the market so I have better cannons now also.
What should I focus on after all that you suggested?
Should I focus on leveling after the event is over, since there are a lot of levels these days.
Or should I do other type of content?
And what about Atlantis? Is it something that I should keep in mind or is it something completely different from the 'base' game with normal ships?

    Ahoy .Ðarta.!

Hope you are doing good pirate!

What to do next you ask? Hmmm.. If I were in your place I would try to use the ongoing event to gather as many Pearls / Crowns / Yulong Coins as it is possible and focus on purchasing more cannons (thunderbolts) from the event market.

Have you attempted the Rumble Map? No? You should! Within this map everyone are equal and the map itself is quite fun to play!

If you can (this will be beneficial in the future) try to obtain the following from the event market:

    - Ice Queen (figurehead)
    - Karen Figurehead (Rumble Tokens can be obtained only from the Rumble Map)
    - Glyph of Atlantis (all - required for your Submarine journey)
    - Mighty Swordfish (speed up for your Submarine)
    - Torpedo Guidance Level 4 (increase damage of your submarine)
    - Snowflake and Pumpkin Bonus Maps (cool older designs to obtain from both of them with a bit of luck)
    - Atlantean Drive MKIII (increase submarine speed)
    - Voodoo Drive MKIII (increase submarine speed)
    - Torpedo Guidance Level 5 (increase damage of your submarine)
    - Silent Run MKIII (increase submarine speed)

Playing the Rumble Map and shooting further event NPCs should be your main goal (in my opinion). Improving your ship and soon a submarine will be crucial for your future development.

If you are bored of the event start doing the Atlantean quest lines in this order:

    -
    Road To Atlantis
    - Atlantis Questline 1
    - Atlantis Questline 2
    - Atlantis Questline 3
    - Atlantis Questline 4

As for now the most crucial are:

    - Daily captains - keep sending them as much as you can
    - Focus on obtaining Karen Figurehead - so playing Rumble Map (more info on that map here ->
Click!) as you don't know when this figurehead will be available again
    - Shoot much more event NPCs to obtain further items mentioned above
    - Focusing on your Pirate Level is not as important for now as you may think, leave it for now and keep your eye on your ship / sub improvements

    @Edit

Are you aware that you can purchase additional cannon / expansion item slots with Pearls / Yulong / Gold / Crowns etc.?

No? Then go to your ship overview and then Values "2nd tab" as shown below:

    upload_2025-7-8_0-25-45.png

Then use + sign to navigate and if you've collected enough purchase some additional weapon slots. (on the expansion slots you dont rly have to go that far, unless you've collected plenty of Ribs :D).

Have you heard of the Daily Challenge offered by Fang Weisheng? This man offer various challenges that resets on daily basis at 11pm UK time, this man can be found in every SH at the bottom left corner, it is worth to pay him a visit on daily basis! Good Cannons and BigPoints awaits!

    upload_2025-7-8_0-30-59.png

This kind guy also offer you an option to purchase Pet Trainers on Level 1 - 2 so during events Level 2 or 3 comes in handy! (note when purchased you need to equip them on your pet).

Additionally Monroe Robinson (on map 24/1) offer you to purchase Commonwealth Sellsword L3 and L4 so climbing up to level 24 would be beneficial too (after the event). There is soooo much to do! So don't rush and take everything the easy way.

Also keep your eye on this thread ->
Voucher Codes as from time to time we post mini games or event voucher codes that you can redeem on you ship to gain additional items!

If you have any questions fire away! (-:
